    Like peace officers brought peace to the Wild West, now peacemakers bring peace to troubled lives. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts (Colossians 3:15). Peace is active and powerful. It moves by the Spirit. It surpasses natural understanding. This study examines the supernatural power of peace and the role of the peacemaker who brings peace. It shows how peace operates and how it is activated.

    Jesus demonstrated the greatest love by his death on the cross. “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). He commanded all his disciples to demonstrate this same great love. “This is my commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you” (John 15:12). His disciples are predestined to be conformed to the family image of the greatest love. It is not the outward appearance but the inner man or spirit man which takes on this image of the greatest love. The spirit man conformed to the likeness of the greatest love is called the spirit of excellence. This study examines the spirit of excellence. It shows how a spirit of excellence is developed and how it operates.

    Setting Goals God's Way
    People set goals or New Year’s resolutions at the beginning of the year, thinking they will be better off at the end of the year. However, there is a fallacy in this logic if the goals are not spiritual or if they are not met. Setting a goal can be a good thing, especially if it ignites the fire of passion in a life that otherwise would be mundane. But all goals are not equal. For example, a goal for physical exercise is not equal to a goal for godliness. Physical exercise helps you in some small ways, but serving God helps you in every way (1 Timothy 4:8). This discussion is intended to help people set godly goals.
